Rose Lipner

Personality:

Rose is personable, compassionate, and is often described as having a calming presence. Rose will make you feel comfortable in your sessions and confident in your ability to make meaningful changes.

Background:

Rose is a registered dietitian who received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She completed her dietetic internship at NYU as well, a program that has a strong focus on medical nutrition therapy. Rose’s clinical nutrition education and background led her to her work as a dietitian at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she specializes in gastrointestinal and psychiatric disorders.

eating disorders, disordered eating, GI disorders (IBS, IBD, GERD), intuitive eating, weight management, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, renal disease, cardiovascular disease. 

Counseling Philosophy:

Rose believes in a personalized approach to nutrition, understanding that every person is dealing with a unique situation. She uses science based evidence and a holistic approach to tailor nutrition plans to clients’ individual needs and preferences. She also believes that all foods can fit into a healthy diet and uses a non-diet approach to nutrition. Rose will empower you while also holding you accountable.

Rose is a member of  the Greater New York Dietetic Association (GNYDA) and an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). 

Interests:

When she isn’t working with clients you can find Rose trying a new restaurant in NYC, taking a barre or yoga class, or walking her dog, Blue, in Central Park.
